Angela is a passionate food blogger and content creator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has also worked as a food event planner and host for an adventure club. She started food blogging in 2012 to promote cultural awareness and diversity through food when she lived in rural Texas where authentic Asian cuisine was hard to come by. Since then, she has been a Yelp Elite for over a decade and contributed over hundreds of reviews and thousands of photos to help others find “realfangtasticeats”. In 2021, she started her food blog @RealFangtasticEats (later renamed as @RealPhDFoodie) on Instagram during the pandemic with a goal to build her own food community and support local businesses. Within a very short amount of time, she has grown a following and already worked with a number of Bay Area restaurants, local and national brands, marketing agencies, food-related startups, and media production companies. She enjoys food photography, videography, and writing and utilizes her food blog as a creative outlet. She takes pride in her professionalism and being an advocate for the businesses she believes in and wants to share her knowledge and love of food with everyone.

Angela holds a doctorate in Information Science. She is a Beijing native, American, and considers herself a global citizen. Her favorite food quote is “…walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food…”
